Interior Painting & Staining
So many elements go into creating an interior space that works. Beyond your unique preferences for decoration and furniture, we believe that a fresh coat of paint and a vibrant, rich wood stain are two of the simplest, most effective ways at transforming the inside of a house into the home that you’ve imagined it could be. Please look below for examples of our work. See if you’re able to find a couple pictures that inspire ideas about your own space and how it could be made to suit your taste even more than it already does. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box and be creative. You might even sit for a moment in rooms that you typically spend a lot of time in and ask yourself: What could this space look like if I really went for it?
Interior Painting
Short of a wall-to-wall remodel, nothing has quite the transformative power for your home's interior as a fresh coat of paint. Other than the obvious factors of choosing a beautiful color, the second most important element of a successful paint job is choosing the correct painter. At Park City Paint Crew, our painters have decades of experience in all facets of painting projects, and our team leaders have an intricate knowledge of the technical and product side of the painting industry.
The technologies of the modern paint industry have evolved and improved just as many other industries have. There is now a surprising variety of paints that we can use to optimize your final product, all according to your taste. For bathrooms, kitchens, and high-moisture, high-traffic areas of your home, there are paints that are designed to be washable, scrubbable, and mold resistant. Others exist that self-sanitize and provide antibacterial action throughout the day and night. If you have particular sensitivities to air-quality, though nearly all interior paints we use are Zero VOC, we can use paints that actively filter VOC off-gassing from other sources like carpets, rugs, cabinets, etc. to act as a net-negative VOC coating. We can also opt to use specific products for trim and cabinetry that leave a near-perfect finish and dry to be extremely durable and radiant. What we’re trying to say is that you have options, and with our deep knowledge of the current technologies of our industry, we’re excited to offer as many options as possible so that your final product comes out as beautiful, useful and effective as we can make it.
Interior Staining
Park City homes are no strangers to interior stained wood. Whether it be floors, cabinets, trim baseboards, ceilings, doors or furniture, few things frame and accentuate a room as much as a rich, vibrant wood stain.
There are two primary types of stain that we use to achieve our beautiful end result, the first being a penetrating stain. This type of stain, as the name implies, soaks into the raw wood, and when wiped off, leaves a deep, full-bodied color that we then coat with a protective clear finish. There are many color options for this type of stain, both standard off-the-shelf colors and those tailor-made to your exact preference. The other type of stain that we use is called a gel stain, which also has a plethora of color options. This stain is thicker and more viscous than a penetrating stain, and has more versatile applications. It can be applied to bare wood much like a penetrating stain, but it can also be used over the protective clear finish as a glaze to create a gorgeous two-tone finish, further customizing and accentuating the beauty of the wood. In addition to wood pieces, the stain can even be applied over paint. For example, if you have painted trim pieces or door frames that you’d like to look like stained wood, a gel stain can be a comparably inexpensive option to achieve such a result. With so many options and combinations of staining and finishing products, we have total freedom to match your interior wood to whatever vision you might have for it.
